The Old Vine's Restaurant

The Old Vine's reputation has been built on the quality of its food, and our kitchen won Hampshire Hospitality Awards in 2006, 2007 and, most recently, in 2008 for both this and its use of local produce – we are enthusiastic supporters of local food producers, and are members of Hampshire Fare, an umbrella organization dedicated to promoting quality local food in Winchester and further afield. Our standard menu consists of quality British and continental cuisine, ranging from tasty pub food to bistro classics and more elaborate fare, complemented by a specials chalkboard with fresh fish and seasonal dishes. Vegetarian options are always available.

For lunch, light bites, soup and sandwiches made from freshly cut, locally baked bread – the best bread in Hampshire, in our opinion – are available in the bar. Try our famous fish finger sandwich – the ultimate in comfort food – or perhaps a homemade steak and ale pie made with Ringwood Best Bitter.
